1988 gmc serriea

Yes,i have a 88 1500 serriea some times after i have drove it for a couple miles when i turn it off it wont start agian untell it sets for awhile.i am going to check the fuel filter,i am also going tcheck to make sure it is getting gas.i hear thepump going so i know that works.its strange,i just bought it too.but thanks for any help you can give.:runaround:is it a hard fix?

Scan the ECM for codes..... (you might find the 'Check Engine' light has been disconnected).

Also the next time it dies, pull a spark plug and check for spark. Weak or bad ignition coils or (sometimes) bad ignition modules can behave like this.
