Well I'll try and hold out on the rude comments lol :D

here we go
1) American cars ARE NOT CRAP!, they're the best bang for your buck of ANY on the market.
2) BMW has a cool feature that I think you'd like (optional on most of their models I belive) They have an Automatic transmission that can double as a clutchless manuel. Fun stuff
3) Heres my quick little list of cars I'd suggest.
- 2008 (<--Stightly used, under warenty and in great-perfect shape, plus broken in) BMW 650i
- This bad boy --> http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/content/vehicles/2010/x6/xdrive50i/default.aspx (you can get the dealer to put it into your range, I'm all but positive of that.
- Mustang GT500 + mods if you wana mod it. (It would still beat your friends stock but it has much more potential)
- Chevy Corvette ZR1 or Z06 (slightly used)

Just holler if you want some more suggestions :D

If you hear people say foreign cars do not break down, they are full of BS and are very expensive to repair.Go do this, price a part for a Buick Lesabre and a Honda or Toyota and you will find out the part for the Honda or Toyota is more expensive.Plus Imports do not get better fuel mileage and Chevrolet has claimed this already not by much,by 2 or 3 MPG over a Honda and a Toyota.Volkswagon has lots of problems with their automatic transmissions and are horrible to work on.Look under the hood of a late 1970s Jaguar, replaced with a small block Chevrolet since the factory Jaguar engines blew up and there are kits to do this swap to a small block Chevrolet

Personally I think you're living in a fantasy world, convince me to think otherwise by explaning how you arrive at 65 thousand range at about $ 400. a month in payment.

hmm that parts a little scetch.... a 170 month loan?.... Hell thats a lease based on an 85+ month loan.......

On a 72 month loan your payments would be around $1,000 per month

Not a surprise here. Unless you're putting over half down as a downpayment you're not going to touch $400 anytime soon. Besides do you realize how much insurance costs will be on a vehicle worth that much for a 20 year old? You have to take into consideration your driving record, age, and probably the need for collision and comprehensive coverage, not to mention where you live all factor into these costs.

Well don't believe everything you hear because you heard wrong. Reliability and quality surveys on American vehicles has been increasing in the past few years and are either in reach or surpassing their foreign nameplate counterparts. On the other hand, the foreign nameplates have had their own quality issues lately and one only needs to look at the big Toyota recall this past month.

No offense but to the OP, you sound like you're 16 and dreaming about $65K cars. Which is all fine and good, that's what I was doing, but are you honestly looking to buy? You want a $65K car, and you're saying you don't like North American cars because they are crap (not true) but don't want a ricer. What defines a ricer at $65K, A GTR? And $400/month, you're looking at a new Mazda3 not a Shelby GT500. Unless you are leasing for 4-5 years and putting down 60% of the cost. Where I'm from, a car that costs $65K plus freight, delivery and taxes will run you well over $1000/month on a 6+ year finance, assuming you qualify for a good rate.

Assuming this is for real, get yourself a new Camaro SS/Mustang GT, or an Audi.

There are some really nice cars out there for under 65k that could kill a 370z. I've seen r32 skylines for like 20k and if you do an rb25 swap to an RB26DET you can kill a 370z without trying. Another nice car is an EVO. They are quick and a brand new one starts at like 33k unless you want an EVO VIII or IX which are around 23k used. Here is just a list of cars that are really nice to go along with your price range. And also American Muscle is awsome.
--Chevy Chevelle
--Chevy Camaro
--Dodge Charger
--Dodge Challenger
--Plymouth Hemi Cuda
--Mitsubishi EVO
--Nissan Skyline
--Toyota Supra
--Acura NSX
--Subaru WRX STI
--Shelby GT500
--BMW M3
--Porsche 911

Just to name a few. Good luck finding a car.

Some good suggestions there! I'm a huge fan of the often forgotten Acura NSX. That car was designed so painstakingly to be a perfect road car that the final product was nothing short of awesome. It can still give sports cars of today a run for their money around a track, and it was designed in the late 1980's! It still looks good - I've seen a few around, black on black paint with BBS wheels, looks great. M3 is a great car too, but you have to look hard to find one that hasn't been abused.
