it is not topspeed cause it´s not limited anymore but on this day there was quite much traffic so i had often to break down from 240kmh to about 90kmh.

They wouldn't let me into the cockpit to take a picture of our airspeed.

No pics, but I did hit 115MPH (registered) on an interstate once.

Fastest I was driving was about 150kph down a backroad with no one else around...would've gone faster but the car was almost getting air....so you can forget about me trying to take a pic at the same time :p

ive hit 100 myself, but me and my friend were going down the highway at like 130mph

well, heres the problem, my speedometer only goes up to 85 because GM decided to be gay and make all their 89' model year speedometers to this specification. I was on interstate one day and had up to the 85 and was very certain I was going much faster, so if I had to guess, I would say 120mph because I couldnt make out many of the things I was passing.

my bro has done about 140mph with an Audi Coupe and I have done a 50mph on a really slow-speed-need-skills racetrack :p

same thing here but i would guess when i had my car wound out it probably hit 110...need speed rated tires car shook like real real bad when i had it up that fast

I topped out my old S model del Sol (1.5 liter sohc engine with a whopping 105hp on the wheels) at 126 going downhill. I haven't pushed my VTEC model yet, but oooh how I want to.

Ive driven at 170Kph a few times; on the 401 (8 lane highway), and on a few back (paved) roads. Oh, and another time playing road tag with some guy....slowed down to 147 when i saw the cop :eek:
the ticket was for 110 in a 90, though. Not too bad :)

As for my non smart ass answer - I dont have a digital camera, but if I have one of the VR4s for my trip between here and Lansing and the US127 is empty, I'll push it over 140 with lots of room to spare. I'll have to try that with the top down next and use my brother-in-laws camera.

no pic either, but ive hit 118. unfortunetly that was when i hit the speed gov. not gonna worry about taking it out till i get a new ecu.

i think me trying to take a picture while speeding would be a bad idea.

most i've done in the truck is 130mph, and believe me, AWD + SUV + high speed = :eek:

118 in a supercharged Integra Type R.

215kms/hr before I got my new box in my CRX, now it tops at 200, and we've bent the needle in my mates 180SX estimated at 260km's, MAD SHIT!!!!! Will try to get a pic one day in my SLAVE! The most OVER a limit I've done is 195km's in a 50 zone...

Just took this yesterday. Actually, I got it up to 170 when the limiter kicks in, but, that picture was bumped, so, I only got the tach. but this is about 166km/h.

why do they make speedometres go up to like 22 if they put a limiter on the makes it top out at 170. to make people think the car goes faster or what?

Or maybe there's only one generic speedometer for all the cars..

I have gotten probably close to if not over 100 in my 94 sable. Same problem with the speedometer only going up to 85.

On another note, I got up to 85 in my '74 superbeetle but the lack of decent shocks, wheels and engine made it frightening... that and it took me 5 minutes going downhill to get there ;)

well to save costs.
as you know there are different versions. .. more or less powerfull.
and some drive faster. so they can reach higher speeds and they don´t need to build another speedometer :flash:

i've hit 108 in my Accord.

and we've hit 130 in my dad's celica

I've hit beyond 280 km/h before- would have gone faster but I ran out of road :(


In the 156- 225km/h before slowing it right down :p

my brother let me drive his 92 Accord, jsut a little bit ago, on a strait strech about 1/4 mile long, i hit 95 MPH before having to slow down:(, if only it was a bit longer.

137 uphill! got scared and slowed down! when I get some fresh tires i will max her out to show you the 145mph photo! CLick!:cool:
