Losing Factory Alarm

Did anyone else lose the funtionality of their factory alarm when they installed a new reciever (using a wire harness of course)? Cause I seem to have and I wanted to make sure it isn't just me.....

I lost keyless entry, but it was just a blown fuse. I forget which one it was because I don't have my car w/ me, but it was in the interior box. The lights didn't work either on mine.

well the security light still blinks but if i try to open the hood with the doors locked and the window down the alarm doesn't go off. even though it did earlier that day. (before receiver installation)

when u lock the door, u have to wait 30 seconds I think before the alarm activates. Is anything else not working in the car?
Onto another matter, what kind of receiver and how do u like it?

Oh, wow I feel slightly retarded. It works. I just found out that I can purchase a keyless enrty remote for my car 107 + tax (yeesh).
