Hello,
I hope someone can help me with this problem. I do not know what happened, but all of a sudden both doors on my 1993 2 door Grand Am will not close!! The latches (I think that's what they are) are stuck in a position where they will not close. HELP!!:shakehead

UPDATE: Well for now the doors are closed thanks the old and useful "butter knife" method - i.e. I physically moved the latch and door handle - mind you this would not work earlier, but did just now (that may be a clue to something I don't know:screwy:). Still would like to here from you real buffs because that is as deep as I go with "tools" and I want to get the issue fixed.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Welcome to AF TineTheVA!
Sorry for the delayed reply.
Have you tried oiling the latch mech on the doors ?
It is odd that all would jamb up at the same time.
Is the plastic part , which covers the latch piece, ripped or dragging ?
Ive seen many like this on several older GM's models. You either cut all the plastic off or replace the lock mech. which you can find used in salvage yards fairly cheap. New, I'd hate to see what they'd cost.
