2003 Limited - Power Window Problem

It is a T&C, 3.8 liter, 70,000 miles, AWD, with driver's side window inop. I scanned most of the old posts and have an '98 service manual as a guide. Doesn't appear that much changed with the windows. Anyway I found out early in the day it was not the switch. I continued on and changed the regulator. With the old switch plugged into the disassembled door the new regulator worked just fine - multiple times. The service manual said to run it several times to make sure it was not binding. It was not. I wasted a lot of time trying to get a replacement "glue" to put the sound deadener sheet back. Put the door basically back together (everything but slamming in the trim pins) and tested the regulator with the new switch. Problem with closing developed. It trips out. Must be misaligned. How do you align it? If the guy with the missing clip reads this, I might be able to supply one.

Might have been the new switch. I hit the door again this morning, after thinking about it overnight. You are not really given much front to rear choice as far as alignment. You do get some choice with vertical. So I measured, best I could, the window opening on the "good" passenger side and set up the driver side regulator (front rail was the suspect problem)to match that. Then I cleaned up what might be called excess silicone lubricant that I left on the new rails and attempted reassembly. The window worked better, but still tripped. It was then that I concluded that it was a marginal electrical overload that may very well be caused by the fact that the window was being squeezed more than normal since I hadn't been slamming the door trim home. I decided to see if I had any posts before putting the trim home. Based on your suggestion, I put the old switch in without backtracking on the assembly. It worked. So I finished the trim and She took it grocery shopping. Thanks for your help.
