04 S-10 V-6 vortec/ARCHING SPARKING UNDER HOOD

OK THIS IS A WEIRD ONE it happend about 2 years ago then never again when it was raining so it is for sure rain/moisture related has been happening more recently went under the car and looked but did not pick up on anything.....When I first start the car it starts then it will start ARKING,SPARKING,POPING from under the car but get this I turn the car off and the key out and it will still do it but it slows down and stops after a min or two I put the hood up and tried to listen where it is coming from and it sounded like the passenger side deep from under the car but then It soundes like it was coming from the driver side weird with the key out of the ingnition and it was still poping for a bit why would this happend and what would cause this STARTER ? WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR thank you very much Anthony

I've had situations where the wires were bad and arcing against the engine when wet or moist.

I'd be willing to bet your wires are OEM wires - never changed since day 1. Replace your wires - to start off with. Also, I'd be willing to bet that your cap/rotor never changed either. Sounds like time for a FULL tune-up.

Yes the wires are original so yes they will be changed the plugs have been replaced and the cap and rotor too I just have to do the wires but my question is why the sparking and arching after the car is turned off and key out ? WILL IT do that ?

The ignition coils will build up and store some voltage that will be there for a bit after the key is removed. These engines are infamous for wet conditions arching. ken man is right, start off with a full tune up.
