Don't you have parts from the old kit?

Best to post kit parts in the classified section. Pictures help too, such as a picture of the instruction sheet showing part 44. Good luck finding one.

I don't have parts from the old kit. Pare K44 is the oil filler cap that fits in the hole on the right side of the car.

Ahh, where only I also possessed of such wisdom. (Be careful, we might make you a moderator. :evillol:)

Just think, out there somewhere is a 911R kit, ripe for dumpster diving pickings! I wonder if it has part K44...?

What does the part look like on a real car? Scratchbuilding could be an easy option.

It is the oil filler cap located on the right side of the car near the passenger door.http://www.conceptcarz.com/view/photo/86680,9940/1967-Porsche-911R_photo.aspx

Every part in the kit I threw out was mutilated. I saved an unmutilated spure with parts, and does not have K44.

Here's a good look at a 911R, boasting its oil fill cap.http://www.pbase.com/911r/image/23369273

That's not hard- scratchbuild yourself one.

Find a piece of sprue of a suitable diameter, and sand it to a good dome shape. Add the fin from a piece of sheet styrene or mold flash, and it will look at least as good as the kit part.

Having never seen the work of the starter of the thread I doubt whether it is that important. So unless some progress is shown - I´d better save my wisdom for somebody actually sharing work and thoughts on the forum since it is about giving and receiving. Looking at the numbers of the starter of the thread I see a big debt.

Nevertheless MPWR it´s really nice of you not giving up on this matter. I already have.

Thanks guys. I also have plans for a Model Factory Hiro 250 GTO Series 1 painted as the #24 car that ran at Le Mans in 1963. My future build list includes a few more Porsches, including the Lowenbrau 962.
