Hi Guys,
I just finished this pair of the Aoshima Evolutions. One is built box stock with black interior, red brake calipers and lowered ride height, the other one is built to match the "normal street" version with beige interior, Enkei rims, gunship grey brake calipers, normal ride height, filled side intakes, and modified front and rear bumpers, hood and spoiler. Here come the pics:

They look really good and it's nice to see the difference between them side by side. Were there any fitment problems or issues with lowering it?

As much as it pains me to admit it, I love the Evo X. I hate the paddle shifters and would never buy one because of it, but the rest of the car is edgy. The Evo has become what the STi left behind.
Your work: Great job you did here. The only suggestions I could make would be to throw some more clear over the silver. Show off your paint buddy, let it glow. Also be more careful with your minor lines on the interior (seat belt holes in the seat etc.), mask if you have to. I suggest using fine "water color" brushes if you are painting with scale model acrylic. I find they work fantastic.
Good job man!

^ Only the MR comes with the automatic/paddle shifter. The GSR is available with the 5-spd gearbox.

I like em both. Nice work on the stock lancer, good putty work. Im really starting to like the stock bbs wheels. Hopefully aoshima will release those seperately.

Thank you guys!
KevHw: lowering the ride height was as easy as 1-2-3 as the kit offers two different ride height itself, so you can easily choose one during the build!
Mojo stevo: thanks for the advice about the paintjob! As for the interior parts panel lines, I freehanded them so I need to practice more to enhance my skills and I will try to do my best to be more careful next time!

Nice to see them side by side, I didn't realise there are so many differences. They are both built very well!

Great job you have done there.
When you look at the pic of them front on you can really see how the Evo one looks alot more menacing.

Not for long my man :frown:. The 5spd is on it's way out in the UK, and the US is next. I can find the article for you if you want.
Tommyboy: Yeah keep it up, again the right kind of brush will change everything. The less you dip the better. Too coarse of a brush with wipe paint away, and work against you. Too soft will look sloppy. Also use a fulcrum when you paint. Do this by gripping with your thumb and first 2 fingers, and use your ring finger or pinky to balance. You can add extra stability with your other hand as well.

Nice work on both cars! The normal lancer is a very ambitious project, considering all the front/rear fenders had to be made more flat compared to the evo. You planning to build the galant fortis ralliart as well?

Yes, I planned to build the Ralliart version also, but maybe I skip to another projects as I feel it was just enough of the Lancers for a little...
