I have searched all past posts on this subject. I need some help please to resolve this problem in simple instructions, because I am very flustered with the car. This is my daughter's car they use to go to school in. I had to have transmission rebuilt ($1400.00) last week and I do not have the extra money for an expensive replacement of the ignition switch.
Using the ohm meter, both keys are at 7.5 ohms on 20K scale. No resistance from wire going to key switch with key in it (this is the male side of the connector). Wire going to computer is 4.4 ohms on the 20K scale of the ohm meter (this is the female side of the connector). What size resistor do I need to purchase for bypass of VATS system? Where do I need to place this resistor for this bypass to work? I you can help me please let me know. Sincerely JKB

It would appear that you have a #13 blank:

There are acually 27 blanks, not 15.I know a guy lost his key for his 1989 Corvette and the dealer told him this. There is a special tool made by Kent Moore that will check for the blank number too and it does work.
