....sooo...I'm thinking about gettiing this 91 caprice. For only 800 dollars, thing is, the rear driver panel was t boned, and slightly shifted the tail end...I'm getting the panel cut so it can be pulled away from the tire. Everything else runs good. So I wanna know should I get the car, and what kind of problems would I run into...thanks for your time.

I would say, if you have the time/money/will power to fix it..then get it because thats really cheap. The car sounds like it has a lot of life left in it. Only problem i see is even after cars like this are fixed they sometimes appear to be driving down the road "sideways." I really don't see any mechanical problems (that is, if it was just the trunk area that got smashed and not the rear tire also which would throw off alignment and other stuff.) So yeah, go for it.

The thing is it was hit right on the the side of the car ( the rear driver side panel)... so much sothat it pushed the skirt up against the tire. But I just talked the guy down to 650, and even if I don't fix it I can part the car out for well over 2000, I feel like this is a steal!!!! But if I measure the wheel base on both sides would that help in determening?
