motor swap

we are attempting to put a 4.9L out of a 1992 caddy in a 1987 caddy to replace the junk 4.1L. anyone ever done this. we are in the middle of the swap and time is of the essance. if anyone has anything that is helpful.....problems or good luck, id like to know. has this ever even been done? let me know. thanks!

well.......it does work. the answer is yes. all engine parts are interchangeable

Thanks for the post back, unless someone had first hand experience with this we would hesitate to say yes or no, did all the accessories work out from one engine to another, I know the long blocks are interchangeable.
