Windshield wiper fluid reservoir

GTP Version 2.0

I have a 97 GTP and I wanted to change the wiper fluid reservoir to the later model one. Will there be any problems with doing that? I wanted to ditch the giant old one.

No problems. In fact I think ZZP sells the "kit" which allows you to do it. A lot of people have.

Really? What's the benefit?

I thought you did it on your 98 Bob?

I think it frees up space for an aftermarket intake. I guess I am not too familiar with the 97-98 GP's engine compartment.

Here is a link to the 99+ recovery tank on ZZP. I was thinking about buying one just to replace my dirty ugly looking one.

That kit from ZZP is the coolant reservior. I wanted to know about the windsheild wiper fluid reservior. I hate having to remove it every time I change the battery. I was also looking into getting a Optima deep cycle battery and they stand a little taller so the reservior would get in the way.

Tim, only the coolant reservoir due to the cold air intake and not the washer tank. I have no need to replace it. There are three different versions available by GM part number.

Personally I would remote install the battery in the trunk area. There are cabling kits available.
