Has anyone used Centric rotors or pads on their cars? I am looking at them to replace on my wife's 03 GT. The have a baked on finish inside the cooling vanes and I am hoping the road salt here in the northeast doesn't get to them as fast. Seems like I have to put brakes on this car every year. The car has 94,000 easy miles on it. Maybe my wife doesn't use the brakes hard enough.

I use the Wearever Gold ceramic pads. Like you ,my wife used to go through brake pads like mad. These pads are holding up great. I used Wagner rotors. Rember to torque the wheel nuts evenly to 100ft. lbs. to help prevent rotor warping.

Avoid using them for these reasons:

1: They eat rotors up

2: very noisey

3: very expensive

Go with the mid grade pads instead and avoid cheap brake pads.Anything from Adavsanced and Autoone are junk

What I am mentioning about are ceramic pads.My father has seen rotors eaten up by ceramic pads and he can prove it.

IMO the ceramic pad is the way to go. After two years I have had no issues with rotor wear , pad wear, noise, brake dust,or stopping distances. Cost is about the same as premium semi metalic and lifetime warranty make them a good deal.

I am still not sure about the effectiveness of ceramic pads. However most manufacturers call for ceramic pads as OE replacements. Still undecided i guess.

Plus Ceramic pads take longer to break in.Where I work at,we talk the customer to stay away from ceramic pads for the reason why I mentioned and they listen. If you want to know AutoZone's and Advanced Auto's lifetime warranty on their brake pads: One time use only and that is not a lifetime warranty.

I see that your still undecided which type of pad to use. One last thought from me. If you use the same or similar pads and get results that you are not happy with, why would you not try something different? I did and it has worked out great for me. No more yearly brake job and wasted money. Your call, good luck.
