Hi Everyone,

The passenger seatbelt alarm on my 2005 Outback recently started going off when the passenger seat is not occupied. It does turn off when you fasten the seatbelt. The air bag sensor properly detects whether or not a passenger is occupying the seat. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks!

Very interesting! It almost lends to multiple occupancy sensors, one for the seat belt and one for the air bag.
