Cut the exterior form of the car, all under -1cm

http://i35.tinypic.com/2ancjs.jpg

http://i35.tinypic.com/jzx21.jpg

Cut the clay and put in a oven, during 7-10 minuts (70cº)

And when is soft, putin the car

This will be interesting to watch. I've always liked the looks of the Tiburon (what it's named on the U.S. side). Nice ride.

Oh, a Tiburon! I forgot what a Tuscani was.

I really like these cars, it'll be a joy to watch one come to life in scale form.

This is great! For a long time I have wanted to get some more insight about the making of clay models.
What is the reason You make just half of the model at first? How will you make the other half?

No,I don't make the other half. The model put in a wooden base, with a mirror like a wall, and see the complete car

maybe u could do your own concept cars instead of current cars, as thats what the designers do when creating a new car from clay, for example, the next generation Hyundai Coupe

Maybe, but this is a academy exercise, and the most important requirement is build a real car, for compare the real measures

Very nice. I'm unclear about how you're able to replicate the dimensions of the real car though. You started off with accurate scale drawings of the car, then shaped your foam based on the drawings, but then you added the clay on the foam and hand-sculpted the clay. How do you guarantee that your hand-sculpted clay form of the car has the correct scale dimensions?

ha!! U must be in the transportation sculpting program! I too was in the automotive design field as a designer!

I can smell the clay all the way over here!

Great work!

Me too!
I also smell that clay under my fingernails.
Our last car was the coming Audi TT RS.
A real good looking car.

Whit this:

It's a gage (gramil in Spanish)
this tool allows to transfer the dimensions to 3D

Jajaja!! Yes, I have clay under my nails!

It's a higher degree of industrial modeling.

The aim is to work on this:

I rarely post on the boards but i have to admit this is very awesome and you've done a great job on the sculpting. Hope to see you make a full model in the future.
