Modifications to 92 350 engine TBI

My engine has 236,000 miles on it and i'm planning on a rebuild soon. I would like to modify the engine some while it is out and i'm thinking about swapping cylinder heads. I want a cheap alternative to the stock heads. What would be required to change to the Vortec cylinder heads? Would you recommend doing this and what other thoughts or suggestions do you have?
