Probably just a big socket, 1 1/2 maybe. Not positive on the size but I believe that's about it. Maybe some snapring pliers, I can't recall for sure, it's been a while since I did them.

If it is the wheel bearing assambly, you are going to have a heck of a time getting it out thanks to Chrysler.Chrysler set the tolerances way too tight in the spindle including the wheelbearing in the 4x4s.

Actually the hubs will fall right out with just a few taps with a hammer in the right spots. Worst part is the drive shaft splines but they are no worse than any GM Vehicle I have worked on.

i had to do both on mine and the best way i found was to grind down a cheap chisel and pound it between the hub and spindle around the edge. a friend at a dealer suggested a smooth craftsman driver because whe it breaks through the handle from hitting it with a hammer, you can return it and do it again.

We use a bar propped between the hub and the frame. Start the truck up and turn it so the bar pushes the hub out using power steering pressure ;) Works wonders if it is a stubborn one.
