Some time ago i used this method on my Fujimi Integra DC2 kit, then some ppl were asking how to do it. So i decided to create this topic.

Stock stance:

The stock and cut suspension look:

On the upper part you can see the two darker lines marking the cut. The space between them was ~2mm but after cut the shock is 3mm shorter than stock one due to the saw thickness.

Then i drilled small holes in both pieces and put the brass rod to strenghten the shock after glue applying. (the rod was ~0,4mm diameter)

I didn't wanted to cut lower arms so i decided to do this modification (i used alu tube put into bored a bit holes in lower arms):

Inner diameter of alu tube was about the same as stock holes in lower arms and the shocks lower mountings, so it fitted just great.
After cuting the excess part of the tube and some painting:

Rear suspension was made the same way, the only difference is that instead of alu tube i used a piece of styrene (can be seen on the upper right)

Final stance:

hey man. I'm new to this site and new to modding models. Why did you have to do that extra suspension mod again? I'm not near my DC2 model so I cant look at it for a reference. thanks

Look at the first photo, and then on last 3 photos.

First one is standard height of this model, and last are after the mod... It is ~3mm lower (so over 60mm in real car ;) ) and it doesn't have that off-road look.
