i have tried looking on tips and maintenance and coulnt find anyhing.
"my question is this"do you guys have a seccion where one can read and learn on how to do a "tune up" a good tune up,like everything that needs to be looked at and changed if needed, how to keep youre motor clean and what to clean it with from all the dust and dirt that builds on top of it.how to keep youre "sun roof"clean, and what to use to clean the drain hoses on sun roof, and what to use to clean tracks on sun roof. sorry for the dumb questions, have a nice day:biggrin:

Did you get the HUD problem solved? Just curious....thank you for asking,no not yet.the problem is that if i need to pull things apart i wont finish it on time to go to work,so im going to wait till i can take some vacation from work.but ive taken a look at other threads about it and kinda have a idea on what to look for and what to do,the other thing is that it says only for 97-03.hope mine is close as some of the other ones on how to take apart if needed to.thanks again

Sounds good.
On the tune up question, I don't think we have a write-up per say of a complete tune up, but you may find something in the tips and maintenance subforum on the spark plugs and fuel filter. Although I think 04-05 GM changed to a returnless fuel line system which now located the fuel filter in the tank, so changing it could be difficult.
The plugs and wires are about as good as they can get on a East/West motor configuration. Just twist each boot back and forth by hand numerous times to try and break them loose, then you may need some muscle or I usually use a flathead screwdriver to pry them up lightly because muscle I lack.... =P You may need a swivel spark plug socket or at the very least a swivel on a 5/8th's spark plug socket for the middle back plugs as on the 97-03's were blocked directly by the O2 sensor.
Brands I would use (and currently am)
-Wix air filter and fuel filter
-Delco 41-101 iridium plugs or their NGK counterpart
-Delco Wires
-Delco PCV Valve
May also consider running a bottle of seafoam or chevron brand fuel system cleaner thorugh there for a fill-up. I have always used the chevron with techron brand with no issues, and have always heard good about seafoam. Your call.

To check out the HUD get a good magnify glass and do a good once over on the circuit board. That is the best way to find the cold solder joints.

If you just replaced the plugs, then you will probably be fine. The air filter I try and replace every year, and the fuel filter you may not even be able to change, so I'd say you are in the clear.
What year, motor. and how many miles on your camero? If you can't find a listing for them in the chevrolet section, you could always post your question over on the Pontiac firbird forum. I'm pretty sure since the cars are so much alike, that the moderators would allow that.

Hi there. As far as your tune up goes, here's a list of items I use as a "default" for any car I've owned:
Oil & Filter change: 3,000 miles
Tire Rotation (and balance): 5,000 miles
Air Filter & PCV Valve: 15,000 miles
Tranny fluid & filter change: 25,000 miles
Fuel Filter: 12,000 miles or 1 yr.
Coolant system flush (dex-cool): 5 yrs.
I also check and top off my s/c'er oil ever 15K miles
Every time I do an oil change, I check out belts, hoses, boots, and anything else I can inspect while under the hood. Also, check the chassis lube requirements for your specific car. I have new tie rod ends, so I grease those every so often as well.
As far as your camaro goes, I had a Z28 and Tim is right; the firebird is pretty much the same car so if no one is posting on the Camaro forum, you could probably get away with the firebird one. If you don't get any answers there I'd actually go check out an F body forum somewhere.
