Doors won't unlock

'96 BuickRegal. Been having a problem with the passenger side window, goes down, won't come back up. this occurs when it's wet/damp outside. Now I can't get any of the doors unlocked to get in the car ! Key in lock doesn't do anything????????????????????????

Key won't work on either front door? Sure you have the right key? Get some good spray lube, get nozzle into lock and spray, then insert key & turn.
Possible short in window motor (assuming elec.) or track is loose & window is jamming.

Had a locksmith get in it as if I'd locked the keys in the car, he could only get in a back door. (???) I pulled the fuse to the lock circuit and the key will now work on the front doors, the doors just won't lock when the car gets put in drive. Going to leave like this for now, not worth dumping a wad of $$$ in to find out what's up. Thanks for your reply.

I had problems with the passenger window not working, but not working from the passenger side switch only. I believe it was a bad battery for shortly after this problem occurred, the battery died. The battery was replaced and all worked again.

I have a similar problem with my 95 regal. The doors lock when I put the car in drive, but wont unlock when I put the car in park. I can unlock them with the key fob. I checked the wiring from the switch to the disconnect at the kickplate and everything seemed ok. My electric mirror switch is also inop. The car starts and drives, s o it isn't a battery problem. Could it be the remote lock module? Does your 96 unlock remotely?

No, the remote(s) would not unlock the car. The keys works as long as the fuse is removed. That's how I'm leavin' it.
