97 sunfire clutch slave bleeding

I have a 97 sunfire and I keep having to add clutch fluid so i am guessing its the slave cylinder that needs changing at some point. I have recently added fluid but the clutch only works when i pump it up a few times. I am quite sure its just air that got into the system.
How do i bleed the clutch slave cylinder? How do I change a clutch slave cylinder. Thanks in advance

To bleed it, you'll need a helper. Just follow the line to where it connects at the trans and look above it, there should be a bleeder screw. Crack the bleeder open and add fluid to top off the reservoir. Once you get clean fluid running out, close the bleeder and have your helper depress the pedal a few times and then hold it to the floor. Once it's on the floor, have him/her hold it there while you open the bleeder, then close it after the fluid stops spraying out. Then your helper can release the pedal (may have to pull it up by hand, I did on my '04) Keep repeating this until the pedal feels good. The service manual for mine says you have to apply vacuum to the bleeder to bleed the air out, but my fluid canister was leaking so I didn't use vacuum. Just know that you may need vacuum to do it.

I'm not sure how to change the slave cylinder on the '97, or even for sure which trans they used. The Getrag F-23s behind the Ecotec require the transaxle to be removed from the engine to change it.
