Beautiful model. The chosen color I really like, is very typical of that era. The details of the body are very precise, and the paint is well applied. I guess your Beetle is the Tamiya's kit.
I did the same beetle, but in a version of Herbie. I made some modifications to look like the model 1963. I leave some photos.
Regards artist!

Very clean build! What did you use for the black welting between fenders and body?

Many thanks, dear friends! It is very pleasant to read good responses for my model! This car of firm Hasegava, 1/24. Built it 4 months. The body paint stole up from the original catalogue of colours VW. Polished with components 3М.
Very clean build! What did you use for the black welting between fenders and body?
To pull it over fire plastic.
welcome to AF.
Keep up the good work and welcome.
Very much many thanks! I will here often as I can!! ))

Very clean build! What did you use for the black welting between fenders and body?Sounds like what he wanted to say is that he heated some thin sprue and stretched it to ultimately add it around the fenders.....

Very realistic, I like the colour, and if you achieved the black between the wings and the doors by heating and stretching the plastic sprues that is very impressive!
