Ac issues

My inlaws car is a 2002 or 03 ford focus, and they were having issues with the ac/heat. it would only blow on the highest setting (4). so they took it to a shop and they replaced the blower motor resistor. Then a few months later the problem is back. I saw some people with the same issue, and most linked back to the resistor, so i'm going to replace it this time. i know its behind the glovebox, but i have never worked on a ford, just on hondas. so i was wondering if anyone had a manual or some help on how to get to it. does the glovebox just pull out like a honda's would? and can i get to it like that, or will i need to remove the dash? any help would be grateful. thanks

just stick your head under there, there might be a carpet panel with a couple of push pins holding it. but you dont need to remove anything, its right there. and if you're chewing through resistors, you might make sure youre not getting water in the blower case.

lets try to uploaad this pic....it should be this connector to the left of the motor, has 4-5 wires going to it. kinda a square-ish connector, rectangular part... umm...as long as I've been a member, how do you upload a pic stored on my desktop? I found a decent one from ford's technician site..

this is what happened to my wife's car.Water got there(when it is heavy rain it always leaks heavy inside) but this time it did burn something there and when C is on then you put fan to full,AC shuts off.Does anyone know how expensive it is to fix this problem? As for the leak,I have no idea how the water gets there...
