1988 Chev PU Clutch problem

I replaced the clutch on my 88 Chev PU (350) about 3 months ago and its been fine until the last couple of days. Now it releases within an inch of the floor and sometimes doesnt feel like it has fully disengaged even with the pedal all the way to the floor. Its as though if I could push it another 2 inches farther it would be fine. This just started and now Ive noticed it does not shift as easily as it did. Do I have a slave cylinder problem or a master cylinder problem? Pumping doesnt help and the reservoir appears to be full.

Try a good bleed on system.
Inside or outside slay cylinder?
And seepage at rear of master cylinder?

I've bled it until I have clear fluid and no bubbles. No evidence of fluid loss at the slave or at the master cylinder. Master cylinder was full

That one is a tough call.
I would go for a new master cylinder.
Does master cylinder have a full pedal or can you feel anything at the top end on it?

Forgot to mention it is an external slave. I'm sorry, you lost me on the full pedal question. I'm not sure I understand wha you mean

When you first push clutch pedal can you feel any pressure on it?
You should see movement on slay cylinder with a 1/2 -1 in down on clutch pedal.

i have a 95 k1500 that had the same problem yours had. it got so bad that i had to kill the engine at red lights, put it in first and then start it in gear since i had absolutely no clutch whatsoever. the problem with mine was the throwout fork assembly wore completely through where it pivots on the ball socket and rendered the clutch useless because there was nowhere for it to pivot. this caused me to have to replace both the fork and the little deal with a ball end that it pivots on and it worked much better after that. hopefully this is not the problem yours is having but i figured i'd throw it out there so you are aware of the potential for it to happen...
