tranny shift solinoids

i have a 99 centry with a 3.1 my check engine light came on i put obd2 on it says shift solinoid i put lucas no slip tranny shit in it and this is when the light came on now my car does not go into od and slow in 1st my car was a rocket before now i cant get out of my own way if i replace the solinoids what are the chances my trany will work or what is the best way to fix this i am handy with my hands and dont have money to replace a tranny 1200 to fix so im screwed now please help:banghead:

Post the specific DTC. Replacing the shift solenoids(s) is not an easy task but can be done DIY. The complete driver's side transaxle cover must be removed. Plus you will need an engine/transaxle hoist or similar.

Since the problem started with the Lucas additive run some Seafoam tranny treatment through and then do a pan drop ATF drain and replace the screen filter to start.
