 i have an 02 blazer with 3 button 4x4 vin w
not sure what transfer case is in it as it has been replaced
as well as the rear dif and transmission

just a quick ? ive been reading up on the blue (autotrak) fluid
and says that from 2000 and up should switch over to this fluid
i recently had my truck in the shop to have some warranty work done on the transfer i believe he said they used dex V wich already has the anti friction aditives and it is not an autotrak transfer case not to put the fluid in any input on this or how can i tell what transfer i have the sticker is gone so i can try to look it up myself
any help would be apreciated
thanks
Dave

Use the AutoTrac II fluid in the transfer case only,it is a lot better than the ATF.For the rear diff use convential gear lube which is recomended.Problem with synthetic gear lube is that is too hard on ring and pinions tearing them up and my father's friend Rich can prove this.He has replaced at least 3 sets of ring and pinions due to synthetic gear lube used.Use Dextron in the transmission.

Only 2000 and up transfer cases that I know use ATF are the transfer cases out of the Oldsmobile Bravadas since they are all wheel drive

The blue autotracII fluid is only used in the 236 4 button transfer case. The 3 button 233 takes std dextron III atf.
