2001 Malibu not wanting to start?

There have been many cases before where my 2001 Malibu would not start. As with any car problem, I would talk to a mechanic about it. The only problem was that they didn't detect anything wrong. And so I went about wondering what the problem with the car was. A few months later down the road the same problem arose. Similarly, I went to the mechanic and they told me the same thing: it's fine, it works. It wasn't until I came across someone who actually knew about the problem. He had mentioned that it was common amongst Chevy cars around the early 2000's. The problem was the ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM.
The ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM, as I was informed, is either triggered by one's own self or self triggered. Nothing more to say than BAD engineering. What this system does is it shuts off any control to the engine I believe. Therefore preventing the start. Of course, the engine will turn but it won't start.
After having spent numerous dollars on attempts to have this fixed, I found a free solution. I know when this problem occurs because the THEFT SYSTEM light on the dashboard keeps BLINKING. All one has to do is insert the car key in the ignition and turn it to the second setting before trying to turn the car on. All that needs to be done now is leaving the key in the ignition until the ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM LIGHT stops blinking. This will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
If anyone needs help, please feel free to email me or post a question.
