Hi all,
I'm currently commissioning a Amuse GTR R35 job and I would like to ask that anybody have any pictures that shows whether the front, side lip as well as the the front bumper of the Amuse GTR-R35 is carbon fibered or just plain gun metal? I cant decide even with the high resolution pics i have. Really scratching my head now. Thanks!

Hmm seems like nobody's sure too. Alright nevermind thanks for those who tried to help me think. I will proceed with CF on the lip only then anyway.

They're not CF. The front splitter under the bumper is not CF, the lip itself is not CF, the canards are not CF either. The side skirts are not CF as well and is the bottom part of the rear bumper, but the rear wing is CF. Powerhouse Amuse does not offer any of its kits in CF, only available in FRP. Only their rear wing is dry CF. They're all FRP, so the closest color to these would be black or glossy black if you prefer the shine.
Powerhouse Amuse produces a number of high performance parts for the Nissan R35 such as CPU, muffler, catalyzer, suspension, aero parts and front pipe. The aero parts aren't exactly a full body kit, just a front spoiler with diffuser and a rear trunk spoiler. The front spoiler is made of high quality and durable FRP, while the rear wing is composed of dry carbon fiber.http://www.ozcarimports.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/tas09-gtrblog-amuse-100.jpg

Woah! thanks for the help! Well, I too agree with you guys if you think the front lip is not CF from the high res pics inside amuse website. But i also came across this website http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=134147#4 stating ".....The front aero splitter and the new rear wing are both fabricated from carbon-fiber by PowerHouse Amuse....". Therefore I really cant decide yet unless somebody can translate the Japanese in the Amuse website that say front diffuser is made of other material.
And well, my client said he thinks is CF and wants it to be CF, I did told him i think otherwise but i guess what wants overwrites everything. Haha. Anyway, i will post the WIP soon.! Thanks once again!

a lot of those "contributing writers" for some website blogs or even some magazines don't even drive or have even seen the car before. the photog is usually the one that takes the pics, gets the spec sheet, other associated info and the writer has to come up with a story line from there. which is why sometimes facts are exaggerated or mixed up. when i used to work at a performance shop that had several customers cars being featured it was the same way.
take it from an authorized distributor (Bulletproof Automotive). it's not c/f. the amuse website is mainly saying it saves 0.4kg from the standard 6.4kg of the OEM piece. althought, B.A. charges a pretty penny for FRP.

if you want it fully authentic then follow the websites given but otherwise, do what you like! that's the fun of scale models. you can commit sacrilege without harming the real car.

Why don't anyone read my post earlier? I've stated that they're not CF and that they are made of FRP. The only CF on the Amuse GT-R is the Dry Carbon Fiber Wing. If you have any Japanese info that needs translating, let me know. I can translate that for you and on the Amuse website, it states it's made from FRP.

I don't think he DIDN'T read your post but its always good to have more reference pics anyway (especially close up ones). besides, he found a conflicting website that said otherwise so to substantiate it further why not visit a website of an authorized distributor of the stuff. :iceslolan

Just from the price alone, it's obvious that the front lip is not CF, but you can do anything to your model, so an Amuse-like CF front lip sounds perfectly fine.

Haha i have the same sentiments with you. This is one of the factors that makes me think its not CF. I did went to the official Amuse anyway but just that i doesnt understand japanese and thus it make me difficult to finalise whether its CF.

Haha and yes just like what star21 said, i just convinced myself due to misleading information in some websites. Thanks for the help!
On a side note, for those who will view my post of the Amuse GTR progress, pardon me if i still go on with the CF. That's because my client has yet to reply that he wants it to be painted instead. Thanks for all the help!! I really really appreciate them!
