Door lock question

Thanks in advance for your help and paitence with me! As I said in my O2 sensor post, I am a new Grand Am owner. BTW, I really like the car! The locks/unlocks will NOT work with the door buttons (or remote but I have a post on that in a different forum) but they do lock when you put the car in drive and unlock when you turn off the key. All fuses are fine. Any ideas why?

Probley the lock/unlock relay.

So the relay for the locks is not the same as what locks/unlocks them when you put it in drive (lock) and shut if off in park (unlock)? If so where is this relay located? Thanks!
