i want to replace my 3 back spark plugs on my 1998 minivan plymouht voyager but its too much parts on the way
the service manual says remove the RESONATOR nd some intake STRUT
WHAT AND WHERE ARE THESE PARTS LOCATED?
i see the alternator is in the way for the number 1 but i think i can go around it but no luck for number 3 & 5 plugs.
a diagram would be great.. THANKS A MILLION
:banghead: the front 3 were easy , the back are still there

Remove the air intake resonator from the throttle body and air cleaner assembly.
referring to a (bracket) at the rear end of the intake manifold which is strut-like in that it connects the rear surface of the cylinder head to the intake manifold plenum, near spark plug #5. It's purpose is to mechanically support that end of the intake manifold

Another solution is tor remove the windshield wiper tub (that part with the grill in front of the windshield and the tub below it), and NO you do not have to go under the car.

it took me 1hr to take 1,3,5 plugs out, after i finally figured out the resonator and intake manifold bolt to the intake manifold plenum.
heres what i did:
for #1 plug
A. loosen (1)bottom alternator bolt, remove (1)top alternator bolt, then
removed the bracket that holds the alternator, swing the alternator back
then take the plug out.
*Note: i didnt have to take the serpentine belt like the manual says.
for #3& 5 (i was confused about the RESONATOR ) A>K>A BRACKET that holds the
intake manifold.
A. Removed the bracket bolt from the side of the cylinder head and loosen
the top bolt from the intake then swinged away the bracket out and
replaced the plugs.
*Note: its easier and faster if you take the air cleaner assy and the bracket that
holds the Gas cable which what i did.
hope this helps ...
