Hello all! I'm getting ready to tackle a differential rebuild. I was wondering if anybody could steer me in the way of finding any kind of literature. I would like to have some kind of diagram showing me the parts. I need torque specs, gear tolerances, etc. Any help would be aprreciated!

I hear lots of automobile manufacturers are putting their manuals on CDs or DVDs, but you can still find the older manuals in used book stores, borrow from a friend etc. Rebuilding a differential is not to be taken lightly. There is definite mehtods and procedures to get it right. The procedure is pretty much the same for Chevies, Ford, and Chryslers. Lots of their axles came from the same sources, at times. It definitely would pay to bone up on these big dog bones (pun intended). Sounds like you already have the right attitude about the project. Good luck with it.

Thanks for advice. I am finshed the rebuild and it is installed. Mission accomplished. Just one more question, anybody know the thread size of the rear brake caliper bolts? I need to repair the threads. Thanks in advance!
