Very nicely done. A very small and simple, yet affective modification. Adds a lot of realism. Nice job.

Just noticed Acu Station are doing a transkit for this model. Not exactly Autograph quality hey Supercarfreak, but should add some finesse!

thank you very much Guiddy!!!
I was planning on getting that but didn't know where to order it!
I'm still looking. Price is £40 UK Pounds but I guess the parts are pretty big. Nothing compared to the Autograph transkit hey mate!
If I manage to locate a few I'll let you know.
Regarding the model keeping it's value, do you think that would add to it or take away?
I'm more interested in it looking right to be honest, it would add such realism to it!
What do you think?

Guiddy,
I'd say it would take away from the value. I'd definitely pay more for a mint F50 and unstarted transkit than for someone's modified F50, you don't know if they would do a job that would live up to your standards, plus building it is half the fun. I'm definitely getting one.

just received this email: :)
Hi Alex,
Acu Stion's F50 photo-etch set is now in stock and it is
pretty impressive. The price for the set is $65.00Can or
$50.00US. In Canada there would be GST and British Columbia
7.5% PST. The breakdown would be:
In Canada:
F50 PE : $65.00
Postage : $ 2.00
PST B.C. only : $ 5.03
GST : $ 4.69
Total : $76.72
Or outside of B.C. it would be $71.69.
In the US the price would be:
F50 PE : $50.00
Postage : $ 2.00
Total : $52.00
I would recommend registaring the package especially this
time of year. It gives us a tracking number and the first
$100.00Can or $76.14US insurance. The cost for this is an
extra $6.85US. So it would make the final cost $58.85US.
Thanks and Best Regards,
Don

Hmmm, I quite fancy that!
The model arrived today but I was out, so I've organised for re-delivery tomorrow!
It says I have to pay £55.43 tax, could have done without that! Still, the car still cost me £50 less than buying it in the UK!
I'll post some pics when it arrives tomorrow!
If you get the transkit will you fit it or just keep it sealed?
Your F40 is coming along nicely BTW!

Mine arrived this morning! It really is gorgeous, the paint is amazing!
One of the mirrors has been broken off, it looks like someone opened the box and moved them out to the open posistion! Annoying, but I'll be able to fix it!
The doors could close better in my view, some adjustment needed.
The photo etch would add that last bit of finesse. I'll keep my eyes open for a set in the new year. Short of cash right now!
