I just picked up a GTS this week. I plan to run up in the NE region with NASA & EMRA. Hoping that this will be a fairly easy and reliable racer to handle. Great to see an active forum with so much info. Looking forward to learning more about these cars.

Hi Rich. Congratulations on your new toy. I have a GTRA and it's best money I've spent on a car and I've owned a bunch. There are several racers on here. Depending on your knowledge of the maintenance of the car you might want to search for the term "spindle" on here and think about whether you need to freshen those on yours. So far my car has been very reliable. They are very simple cars to work on. The guys at Panoz Auto Development (Josh and Brandon) are VERY helpful with parts and advice.
You'll get used to the brakes and learn to like them. :) They're my favorite part of the car.
Have fun.

Rich,
Congrats on the new car, as Jim said best money spent on a track car yet. My first impression was this car is real easy to drive.

The Panoz are just that, easy to drive, and SUPPER reliable compared to most cars, unless of course you swap an LS1 into it and spend a year trying to get it finished! :-o

I was looking at your LS1 thread. Looks like quite a project. I'm planning to stay with the Ford power plant.
Worked on the car all day yesterday. Most everything appears to be in great shape. The wiring is a rats nest. Started to clean that up. Already had to put a new starter only toggle and ignition / fuel pump switch. Car would not start every time before the repair / upgrade. Looks like a complete rewire over the winter.
Lot's to learn. Had a GT-1 before way to much work. Tried a sports racer thought smaller / simpler. wrong about that. Panoz looks like the right deal for me.
FYI I bought the car from Hayes at Wirewheel. very easy to work with.
