Was running fine last night, I parked it and when I went to start it this morning nothing. I can hear fuel pump or something turn on and the ignition fuse click but that's it. I charged the battery and later tried to jump it. Gage showed enough power and still nothing. Thinking it may be the starter, any ideas out there?

Try jiggling the gear switch, or try starting in neutral instead of park (if one can do that these days). There's a neutral safety switch on the transmission that's involved with this.
Also, measure voltage across battery while you're trying to start it. If voltage hardly drops, means voltage isn't even getting to starter. If voltage drops below 9.6 volts, then the battery is bad. Without a voltmeter (you really need one), turn on the lights, try to start, see if they get really dim (which at least will tell you that voltage is trying to spin the starter. The ignition switch can be tested with a test light or voltmeter at the small connection at the starter, should have voltage EVERY TIME the switch is turned all the way over to the "start" position. This all assumes that the battery terminal connections are all clean. Jump-start attempts (successful: Yes/No) will also help determine if it's a bad battery issue.
My experience with many vehicles is:
85% bad battery
10% bad connections, terminals, wiring, ignition switch
3% starter
2% other

Jump start attempts didn't work but the car showed 14 volt when trying to jump start so I don't think it's a battery issue

My K2500 Suburban 8.1 had a bad crankshaft position sensor that caused the car to die while driving. It would not turnover (start) at the side of the road for several minutes. Then it would just start fine.

Tap the starter with a wrench or small hammer. Old starters can develop a "dead spot" where if it stops at the right position, the brushes don't make contact. Tapping it will help nudge it enough to restore contact. If this works, have the starter repaired or replaced.

I have tapped on the starter but that hasn't worked. Where is the neutral safety switch and the ignition switch? Is there a way I can test them?

I own a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban ¾ 4x4 with about 88,000 miles on it's 8.1 L engine it. About a week ago, I was driving down the road and it just shut off! No power! No power steering, no power brakes, no engine! Thank goodness I was not on a busy highway! A day later, it happened again! Fortunately, I was, again, not a busy road. I looked up the problem on the internet and suspected that it was the crankshaft position sensor. I also found out that there is a recall for 2001 Suburbans for this very part! I took it to the dealer and when they put in my VIN number, amazingly, my truck did not qualify for a free fix! I have to PAY $450 to fix this part that is obviously a problem! This part goes bad and you can DIE! And you never know when it will start going bad! WHEN will it shut down the first time? It's like Russian Roulette! We own 3 Chevys and will NEVER buy another one! I hope it was worth the $450 they made to lose a customer for life!
Note: If yours is not covered also, please call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 1-888-327-4236 and filed a complaint and they MIGHT include more VIN numbers.

Sounds like the same GM B.S. I had just after I got my 1994 Suburban in 2000. 1994-1996 GM Suburbans, trucks, etc., had a safety recall because the wipers would suddenly fail, then was out-of-luck if it was raining, due to a design flaw in their circuit board (too much weight breaking a bad solder joint). But my own VIN was not covered, and when I asked the dealer for some help, it appeared the policy was to make money off me for their design and manufacturing flaw. I figured a courtesy repair since I did know about the recall could've been wangled - maybe the dealer would've had a new customer. But no.
