I have a 99 Montana 3.6 v6 that the blower motor will not turn off unless I pull the fuse. The car can be off and it will still be on. Drained my battery a few times. I replaced the relay, I'm also replacing the fan speed selector switch today. Could be a short somewhere, but I haven't checked ground yet. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. The dealer can't figure it out either. With winter coming up I would like the fan to be able to turn off. Thanks.

You replaced the blower motor resistor?
the high speed fan relay is part of the blower resistor. The relay has its own power supply for the blower that is hot at all times. If that relay (part of the resistor) is stuck in the closed position it would cause the blower to run all the time regaurdless of the key position or the position of the switch.

Really? Ok, I didn't know that. Where is the resistor located?

right next to the blower motor. You'll see a connector with four or five wires coming out of it. Sometimes they can be a real pain!
