6 Disc CD player not working

while loading discs the CD player stopped accepting them. it started blinking "Call Sirius". i'm pretty sure the car doesn't have sirius radio (bought it used a few months ago) and not sure why that'd effect the CD player even if it did. now it blinks "press eject" and is no longer flashing the sirius message. when i press eject it turns off and the radio plays. i tried taking out the fuse and putting it back it but that didn't effect it at all. pretty sure the manufacturer warranty is over. i have a 2-hr-a-day commute every day and i get through it by listening to audio books! help!!!

The stack is probably hung up, you weren't using discs that had a sticker on them did you?

nope, no stickers. any suggestions on how to get them out? brought it to the subaru dealership. they said it'd be cheaper to buy a new aftermarket stereo/cd player than it'd be to fix/replace this one. regardless i need to get the CDs out since they belong to the library.

WEEEELLLLLL if you are going to get an aftermarket deck (recommended since it's cheaper and should be fairly easy to install) you can dismantle the deck enough to get em out. I haven't ever disassembled one so i'm not sure what is involved but it can't be too hard.

K. thanks. i'll see if my BF knows how to do it. if not, i'll give it a go myself. any recommendations on a decent aftermarket setup?
