Help! I cannot get the metal fitting loose from the high pressure side. I have sprayed it with PB Blaster and tried all I can and it will not budge. However, it has come loose where the top arrow is pointing in the picture. What do I do now?

Try carefully heating it with a propane torch. The hold the nut with a open end wrench and use a flare wrench on the tubbing fitting.

There are rubber o-rings on the line and a tempered spring in that valve (not to mention p/st fluid is flammable), so I would avoid (or be very careful) using a torch on that fitting. Try tightening the fitting a bit, then backing it off, and put a wrench on the larger nut to keep it from turning.

I'm not sure how to get a wrench on the larger nut. There seems to be no room around the side by the reservoir.

Can't you get the pulley off and try it from a different angle?

I agree, there should be enough room to remove the pulley. You just have to get the PS Pump kit from autozone. They usually rent it out for free. Once the pulley is off you are home free.

Been awhile but I wanted to post the outcome. I ended up throwing in the towel on this one and took it to a mechanic. He determined that the nut was seized to the line and had to cut it free and replace it as well.
