I can't remember if i posted this already but i figured i'd put it up anyway. The clear coat is peeling on the trunk lid and a little on the roof. Is there any way to fix this? Or do i have to actually repaint the whole area? Would it be as easy as buying a can of clear coat, sanding the area or something and spraying it on, maybe to at least stop it from peeling any further?

on a vehicle this old you will find the paint shops wouldn't even try to cover/repair this with out stripping..the old finish will not hold the new clear coat..I know of some owners/paint shops that will sand the damaged finish then use a self etching primer, then apply an enamel paint..this on the older vehicles holds up better ,without a complete strip job..
