Belt squeal after it rains

I am having a similar problem. The problem happens the most when it is raining/after it has finished raining... I am driving and then my battery light and parking brake light come on, and I lose power steering. After a while, I hear a loud squeal and power steering comes back. I have had it happen twice where more lights come on and the car loses power and shuts off. I had the alternator checked, the serpentine belt changed, the pulley changed, the water pump changed. Running out of ideas... The car is an 07 Kia Sedona with 71,000 miles. Any ideas?

Welcome to AF. Please look at the dates of the thread before posting in them. The previous one was over 4 years old. Also, make sure you are in the right section for your vehicle. Thanks.

As for your problem, the belts may be too tight or too loose. At the longest length of the belt, you should only be able to twist it about a 1/4 of the way over. Adjust tension more/less til it gets to that. If the problem continues, check all the pulleys for proper alignment.

Also make sure the balancer isn't coming apart at the rubber between the inner and outer parts.

I would be looking at the harmonic balance the outer ring is moulded by rubber to the crank pulley they can come adrift and when it is wet can slip when the lights come on and p/s stops the noise is when the rain dries out and the ring is slipping un lubed until it seizes up again
