.....for programming the remote entry system on a 98 Lesabre? http://answers.edmunds.com/question-How-can-I-program-the-keyless-remote-on-my-1998-Buick-LeSabre-Thanks-33179.aspx

I know that there are intructions on here somewhere to do this but it involves jumping wires in the fuse box and i'm afraid of screwing something major up and having to replace the computer.....can someone please help me?

Well, obviously there is a procedure HERE (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=118683), but at the bottom of the instructions posted above, I also see; © Copyright General Motors Corporation. All Rights Reserved.Source: General Motors Corporation So evidently, it was copied from an official GM site! It could be that by holding the 'Unlock' button down during the procedure, overrides the need to jumper pins #4 & 8 on the ALDL terminal. It won't hurt to try it!

With Pins 4 & 8 all your really doing is grounding out for the keyless learn sequence...

You are actually supposed to use a fused jumper wire, shame on me tho as I never have...

Just bend a paperclip into a U shape. Insert one end in 4, one end in 8.

The trapezoid shaped DLC (Data Link Connector) at the bottom of your dash on the driver's side.

It's not 4 & 6 :nono: It's 4 & 8 :iceslolan Look at pic below, this is what you are looking for. Notice the pin-out is shown upside down, because that is how you will be looking at it under the dash. :screwy:
