2002 Taurus starter location

I have a 2002 Ford Taurus and when I look under the hood I cant locate the starter. Where is it?

You probably can't see it from above. You'll need to jack the car up and safely support it. Then remove the splash shield from underneath and the starter should be right above that shield at the front of the engine block.

It is just below the oil filter.
