How do I remove and replace the wheel studs on my 2001 taurus? I have 4 broken ones and I can't find anything in my haynes manual. Thanks for any help.

Use a hammer to beat them out. A few hits should do it. You need to remove the brakes and rotors first, or drums if it is on the rear. Then wiggle the new stud through the hub and use some washers and a nut to tighten it in until the head of the stud is secure against the back of the hub. Repeat for all studs. If you look closely, there may be a little place that is scored so you can break it out to insert the stud.

Thanks Way2old. Pounded the studs out yesterday. I had to jack up the other side to rotate the wheel. It had to be in one specific spot to bang out the stud. Thanks again.
