audio system question

Well there is no stereo fourm in the ford area so i have to ask here

well my dad is buying me a ford ranger and im putting a system in there
i want an ext. cab but if he buys me a regular cab would 2 12" mtx thunder 8000's fit behind the seat?

i sure hope so, cause if they dont im going to be pissed

I will answer it, I would say yes, but you will need a custom box built. the box will probaly be a bit less than spec. volume. but they will fit.
you also have to think about where you want your amp/amps mounted. you will need to leave room for them as well.

will it fit, yes anything can fit. will it sound good, no. My brother has a mazda b2300, same truck and there is really now room for two twelves, maybye one twelve or some really low air tens.

what year ranger are you getting? my friend had a little white one std cab and behind the seats is this lump and it leaves no room at all for anything. so he got an 8" L5 made a box for it and turned it into a center console with cupholders:D

2 10" subs in the right box will sound FAR better than 2 12" subs in a box that is way to small

your's has bucket seats though doesn't it. My friend's had a bench seat so it made it even worse to try to stick anything in there
