1996 pontiac firebird front blinker problem

yes i just boutght a 1996 pontiac firebird trans am. someone idiot installed a aftermarket cd player and cut the factory harness. so now when the car is on i turn the blinkers on they work untill i hit the brakes and the front lights up with the same pattern as u push the brake and the back works fine, please help me
