removing interior door panel

I noticed there is a dent in my rear door, the dent is not huge, but its pretty noticeable even on the silver color. one of my friends suggested that i might be able to push it out if I remove the interior door panel to access the inside of the exterior sheetmetal. (this was just a suggestion, my friend doesn't know if it is possible to fix this way) Is this a good idea, would it work? if so, how do you remove the interior door panel (dack door, right side, '01 GP)

On the interior side of the door you will notice button plugs that cover the torx screws on the door handle. Remove the plugs and unscrew the screws. Then pull on the outer edges of the panel. GM uses these nylon press bolts that you have to break to get off. Be gentle. The wiring for the window/door lock is still attached. You will find that you don't have much room to work with, since many of the door cross members and window regulator will be in your way. You can go to autozone for replacement press bolts.

Body shops often use this method of repairing dents only they insert a "bag" behind where the dent is, and pump air into the bag untill the dent pops out.

Got the panel off only to find the dent was behind a brace, which was behind the bottom of the window, which was behind some sheetmetal. The plunger method didn't work either, (good idea though).
