I'd put even money on something by Andy (MPWR). Maybe search his "threads started by"
What exactly do you want to know though? Using them is not exactly rocket science but they are a really cool tool to have :)

I have to mention that I bought the punch set from MicroMark on their recent sale (http://www.micromark.com/MICRO-PUNCH-SET,8603.html). This is a tool I really wouldn't like to part with now. It's become esssential for detailing all kinds of parts, particularly in the engine bay and for making stuff like airjack connectors and switches. It goes down to 1mm, which is still not quite as small as I'd like (which is why I ordered a bunch of .4, .6, .8mm rivets from Hobby Easy), but it does cover a lot of uses.
It's an expensive tool, but very useful when you have it - like an Optivisor or Dremel tool. I no longer freak out when a punch rivet "clicks" out of my tweezers - just knock out another one (provided it's not one of the tiny ones I had to buy!).

My thinking exactly.
Porsnatic, I have the MicroMark set (round) and although it is a very simple piece of kit, I think it may require some fairly precision equipment to actually make it.
It's basically a steel base and perspex guiding plate on top. The base has 2 locating pins to hold the perspex top in position. The base and top have 9(?) perfectly aligned holes of various diameters drilled all the way through both. These are the die.
The punches are simply short lengths of steel rod of the same diameter as the holes. The punches are ground flat and smooth at both ends.
Very simple but precision is paramount I suppose. I have certainly read in other places where people who have access to engineering equipment have made their own sets. These people generally grind down old drill bits to use as the punches.
The material to be punched is placed between the base and the perspex over the hole of the diameter you want to use. The steel punch is then slid into the hole and a quick, sharp tap with a hammer punches out a perfect disc. I use this all the time to punch out decals of speedometers and tachometers, clocks etc.
Maybe this helps you some?

No, although I already know how to make it, I would like to see what I'm looking for again. Maybe it wasn't a thread of a how to, maybe it was part of a build up, because I've been looking around every where here, and can't see it. I remember it was in the first quarter of the year when I see it.
By the way Hiroaki a question, do you know if I can still get Modeler's Super Clear, I heard they are OOB?..Let me know, please.
