I have a 1986 Ford F150 302 v8 thatwill turn over but is not firing at the spark plugs and not getting any fuel to the fuel rail. Have replaced the Ignition Control Module because was told that was what the problem would be. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I had the same problem. It appears that the ECM is not getting power with the key on. Pull the two relays (green-Fuel pump and brown-engine/computer control) on the driver's inner fender well (covered & attached to the airbox) and back probe the yellow leads. The should be hot at all times, The white/blue stripe in the ECM relay which energizes the ECM should be hot with the key in start and/or run position. Mine did not, and I found a corroded/broken wire in the white/blue stripe to black fusable link (under the master cyl, sticking out of the bundle. I found it by pin probing across the link. The link was intact and not burned, but the wire was broken inside. A wiring diagram will help a lot.I replaced the link (w/a 10 amp fuse) and all's well. Good luck.

Appreciate the info. It seemed to be some bad or loose connection in the relays or associated wiring. While I was digging trying to locate all the relays and/r in line fuses (under the master cyl. and on the RH fenderwell) I must have made right connection. I heard the fuel pump kick on and therefore it cranked. I know area I was in, so therefore will keep probing and trying to find exactly what the issue was. Haynes book was confusing in its diagrams (covers too many years) of wiring. Does anyone know of a manual with pictures/drawings of an exact year and model?
