I have two DSMs the first is a 92 Eagle Talon n/a which i am parting out, if interested.
The second is a 93 Plymouth Laser RS AWD turbo 5-speed, my baby:grinno:
To the topic at hand, i am looking for Canadian spec seat belts the B & A pillars too! I am converting it over because automatic seat belts suck. also i have never seen one yet with the conversion.
I need help locating these parts, instead of taking a road trip to a Canadian salvage yard for them.
I have even called a Canadian based Chrysler dealer to see if they could get the parts, the parts are sadly not available anymore.:banghead:
I have even tried all websites i could find like dsmgraveyard.com etc..
If any one from Canada is reading this HELP i'll be willing to trade you and even pay for the shipping!!!! Since no one in Canada has automatic seat belts, it could be a nice conversion for you too.
I'm basically in need of some guidance. Google has not helped AT ALL!!!
Any websites, and contacts, ANYTHING WOULD BE HELPFUL!!!:runaround:

If you're doing it for the "rarity" factor...don't. It's been done 1000x over.
If you're going for weight...good luck! These suckers are hard to find, nevermind the associated plastics.

well, im not doing it for the rarity factor. I'm doing it for weight and mainly convenience.
and for the plastics, i really do want them. if your gonna do something, do it right the first time. even though this makes it 100x harder!!! I just don't want people saying why is this piece of plastic this way? I just want it to look right, not halfassed.
I heard this takes about 60 lbs. off the car, is this true? or is it only like 10 lbs.?
and again.......ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Good lord.
Where have you looked?
www.dsmtuners.com
www.dsmtrader.com
www.mitsu-marketplace.com
www.dsmtalk.com
Whining and thread bumping over f'in belts will likely make you stand out to the mods. It isn't complicated, it's just a rare part to see for sale in the US.

I'm not trying to whine or be pissy about it. If i came across this way i am sorry.
I'm just very frustrated I have been looking for 1 1/2 years for them. You would be frustrated too. I have tried all those sites but i will try them again. Thanks for the input.

Think of it this way, the LAST car that could have been built with the Canuck seatbelts is now 16 years old. Most of these cars are raped and pillaged these days.
Good luck, though. I saw a set about a month back with plastics, but didn't care to spend 200 bucks for something I'm already equipped with that works. ;)

well, it all depends on the condition and if the belts are even the right color, and if your willing to trade at all. If your just selling em and don't want anything in return. then make an offer. also depends on the shipping costs. I don't know where your located? If your close then i can always pick them up. if possible a pic would be nice. I dont know where grande prairie is? we can always do this through e-mail if ya want also. So our info is'nt up for the whole world to see. (which i DO trust people) its just e-mails and spam and stuff isnt my thing.

I thought my belts were dark blue. BUT they are in fact a really dark gray. I am highly interested in these belts and the plastics. If i would do this conversion would the seat belt light stay on? or would it work normally? I am kinda "ify" about the one belt not retracting. I don't know how to pm someone yet as i am still new to this site. pm me instead, please.
and still, where do you live? what state are you close to PA, or are you in Canada?
and again, i am HIGHLY INTERESTED!
