Charging system indicator light on then

Spedometer went crazy, accelerator stuck, no blinkers, engine began surging. Then after being off for about 5 minutes would not start. Voltmeter gage in low warning zone. This is a 1997 S-10 2.2L engine. Please any assistance would be greatly apprieciated!

Your question is not very clear. Does the starter crank the engine? Check your battery terminals.
